The creative life is a magical one. Think about it: artistic creation is about transforming ideas and the imagination into objects and experiences. It feels like magic because it is magical, pulling something from nothing.

The vehicle for this work is the creative project.
Not everybody wants a creative life, but if you do want it, and are willing to make space for it, you deserve to have it. Project Studio is a program designed to generate momentum and community for our creative projects.

What kinds of projects qualify?
For this program, your creative project should meet the following criteria:
One, the project is something you’re doing for yourself. It could be a personal project, like a kitchen remodel or learning how to paint watercolors. Or it could be a professional project, like re-thinking and refreshing your business offering, or designing and delivering a workshop. Either way, it should be something that’s meaningful to you. Be ready to be asked, “are you being true to yourself?”
Two, it should be something that stretches you to lean into uncertainty and the unknown. If you know everything in advance, it’s not a creative project. A good creative project is like an adventure — there should be an idea of what “done” looks like, but enough uncertainty that there is a real chance of failure.
This is a peer-to-peer program, and it is only as good as the people who show up. We want people who are committed to doing good work and serious about finishing.
